Boulders Beach in Cape Town is home to the endangered African penguin. The only penguin found in this part of the world.

Bo-Kapp neighborhood

This neighborhood dates back to 1760's and is home to Cape Malay culture. Originally built by enslaved people, the houses were painted in bright colors after they gained their freedom. The colors literally represent freedom, as the people were not allowed to own or choose their home colors during the time of slavery and apartheid.
